Agritechnica, the world’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition, is fast approaching. It will take place in Hanover, Germany, from November 12 to November 18, 2017.
The 7-day event will showcase all types of machinery from a total of 2,900 exhibitors in 26 different halls.
A total of 19 exhibitors will fly the flag for Ireland at the sprawling event. It is an excellent opportunity for these companies to “rub” shoulders with the “biggest” names in the machinery business – from all over the world. It also emphasises the importance of international markets for Irish manufacturers.
Irish exhibitors booked in for Agritechnica 2017:
- Abbey Machinery;
- Agri-Spread;
- Agriknives;
- Athlone Extrusions;
- Burnside Autocyl;
- Cashels Engineering;
- Combilift;

The event attracted a total of 451,000 visitors to the exhibition centre in Hanover, Germany, two years ago. This year’s theme is “Green Future – Smart Technology“. Changing technology, versatile crop varieties and precision fertilisers, it says, are key to overcoming the challenges facing the global agricultural industry.
Apart from the machinery exhibition, the event also hosts a “Technical Programme” which includes congresses, workshops and forums.
“This programme offers visitors an overview and exchange on the latest international developments and trends in agricultural machinery and equipment,” an Agritechnica spokesperson said.
The forums provide opportunities to discuss current and international topics with experts. They cover issues spanning science, business, consultancy services and agricultural practices.
