Superbowl 50 takes place this weekend in California and Honda has produced a great ad for the event with sheep.
Last year some 114.4m people tuned in to watch the Superbowl and according to Time a 30-second ad costs $5m (€4.5m).
For this year’s game between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers, Honda has splashed the cash on some singing sheep to promote its new Ridgeline model.
The farmer in the ad is shown with bringing a few of his sheep to the flock, before leaving to get some more. The sheep, not content with just eating grass, then break into a rendition of Queen’s Somebody to Love.
Just as the flock is getting into a good harmony, the farmer returns with some more of the flock; a warning ‘baa’ is called out and silence ensues.
The farmer then puts on the Honda’s truck bed audio, so that he can listen to the radio outside of the truck – which just so happens to be Queen’s song.
Once he heads on his way, the sheep take up where they left off with the song.
The ad then closes, with a talking dog promoting the Honda’s truck bed audio on the Ridgeline model!
