Last Monday’s episode of The Republic of Telly included a clip from the National Ploughing Championships which checked out the latest trends in farming fashion.
Presenter Vogue Williams chatted to a number of farmers about their choice of outfits in the ‘Xploughse’ segment.
“When you come to the ploughing you have to have all your gear on you, you know, your boots or your wellingtons,” one visitor said.
The lads were all kitted out with warm jackets, woolly hats for their heads and sensible footwear for any mucky conditions they might have encountered.
Another visitor dismissed Williams when she quizzed him on whether or not he made an extra effort for the event.
