Vaderstad closed the 2017 financial year with “good results”, as turnover increased by 12%.
In general, 2017 has been regarded as a successful year by the company.
It notes that the “general market has grown in the industry”. The Swedish manufacturer says it has witnessed “a very positive sales trend”.
In addition, Vaderstad has established new sales channels in Russia and Ukraine, which have contributed to increased overall volumes.
Furthermore, countries such as Sweden, England and Romania have recorded “very good results”.
Mattias Hovnert (pictured below), the company’s sales and marketing director, explained: “In the 2017 fiscal year, Vaderstad AB and its subsidiaries had a turnover of €225 million. Nearly 90% of this came from export sales outside of Sweden.
“The earnings before tax were €12 million; the equity ratio was high at 46%.”
“The success of our unique Tempo planter continues and our market share in the planter segment has increased.”
He continued: “We are seeing that growth is continuing. During the first quarter of 2018 sales have been very good. The trend seems to last and we are looking forward this year.
During 2018, we are investing in increased production capacity at the factory.
The family-owned Vaderstad group is now represented in 40 countries around the globe. The group has nearly 1,250 employees, of which nearly 900 work at the factory and head office in Vaderstad, Sweden.
