An old trailer, hand tools and a dark grey CT MOTO quad bike have been stolen from Attisham Farm, Pilsdon, Dorset, the Dorset Police rural crime team has said.
As well as the farm being targeted, ‘The Wagon House’ farm shop was also stolen from, with an estimated £400 worth of fresh produce taken.
Officers from the Dorset Police rural crime team have been investigating the farm burglary reports, which occurred between the hours of 10:00p.m on Monday (August 26) and 6:00a.m yesterday (Tuesday, August 27).
The stolen quad bike has been described as having a distinctive black box on the back, which should make it more easily identifiable.
PC Middleton, of the rural crime team, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious between the times mentioned, or for anybody with any information on the whereabouts of these stolen items, or names of those involved.
“The theft of such equipment is extremely damaging in the rural community, massively affecting our hard-working farmers in their daily tasks.
“In what is already a financially challenging time for farmers, it is not acceptable that their valuable produce and equipment is taken so mindlessly.”
Anybody with any information on the thefts is asked to report it online or via 101 quoting the reference number 55240131932.
