ABP has announced that it has reached an agreement in principle with Fane Valley Co-op to acquire the remaining 50% holding in its red meat business.
The proposed merger which would see ABP Food Group take a 50% stake in Slaney Foods has been notified the European Commission competition authorities.
Fane Valley Co-Op and ABP Food Group have been informed that the proposed 50:50 joint venture in relation to Slaney Foods, comes under the remit of the EU for investigation.
