Last night the roof terrace at the trendy No Name Bar was the setting for Aldi’s Summer Steak Out, a celebration of the best in fresh Irish meats, fine wines and craft beers from Aldi.
The seasonal barbecue launched Aldi’s new campaign “100 per cent Irish Fresh Meat – No Ifs, No Buts” with a preview of its new TV commercial.
Guests at the carnivorous feast were treated to Irish Angus steaks cooked to order by the renowned l’Gueuleton chefs along with a selection of barbecued meats and accompanying bespoke salads.
Sommelier Jean Smullen, who carefully selected wines and beers from Aldi’s extensive range, spoke to wine lovers about how to pair food and drink to enhance the flavours of the dishes while butchery expert Eddie Quilty of ABP Ireland demonstrated his knife skills and gave a fun and informative master class in carving a succulent steak.
Those in attendance included Aidan Cotter of Bord Bia, Eddie Desmond of IFA and Aldi’s suppliers as bluegrass folk band Gypsy Rebel Rabble entertained the crowd on the balmy summer evening.
