Last week played host to the LAMMA show – now the UK’s biggest farm machinery exhibition.
We’ve already brought you tractor highlights, a report detailing loader and telehandler news, plus an article that provided a taste of what Irish manufacturers were showcasing at the huge event.
While the event did prove to be a busy affair on the first day (Wednesday, January 17), it was subsequently cancelled. The second day didn’t go ahead – due to severe, choppy winds and ensuing safety concerns.
Photographer Tim Scrivener was there for AgriLand; he shot this video capturing the sights at the event. It details some of the new equipment at the exhibition – much of which will filter down onto farms and into contractors’ yards over the coming months and years.
Below is a further selection of pictures from the event; the scale and scope of the exhibition is evident from these shots. The show attracted most major industry players; much of the new equipment first seen at November’s Agritechnica show (Hanover, Germany) made its UK debut at LAMMA.
Thanks to AgriLand reader Mel McCormack (Co. Westmeath) for these shots from the Peterborough-based event.
