Pottinger will showcase a plethora of implements from its arable and grassland equipment ranges at next week’s National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
On the arable side of the exhibition, Pottinger will focus on its Terradisc disc harrow (a 3m implement equipped with 24 scalloped discs – each with a diameter of 58cm and a spacing of 12.5cm) and its Tegosem air seeder. These machines, combined, are said to be suitable for stubble cultivation and cover crop sowing.
According to a Pottinger spokesperson, the highlight of the tillage range is the “flexibility of each machine to be paired with a seeder”.The Aerosem (a seed drill, with a hydraulically-driven fan, load-sensing and ISOBUS – making it one of the more “high tech” units available) can be paired with a Lion power harrow, a Fox compact disc harrow or a Terradisc disc harrow. The seed drills can also be paired with the Synkro stubble cultivator.
The Vitasem seed drill can also be paired with these harrows and cultivators.
Pottinger will also carry out live demonstrations over the three days of the event. The Terradisc, Snykro and “award-winning” Aerosem will be put through their paces.
On the grassland side, the Jumbo 7210 tri-axle loader wagon will be on display. It will feature Pottinger’s Autocut knife-sharpening system.
Also on show at the ‘Ploughing’ will be the Novacat A10 triple-mower combination, with the “award-winning” Alpha Motion front mower. This combination reputedly comes with “100% full ground contouring”, for improved mowing on rough or sloping terrain.
Pottinger’s Top 702 rake, with ‘Multitast’ wheels, will also be front and centre at the event.
Other machines, from Pottinger’s grassland arsenal, will include the Novacat 302 ED mower, Novadisc 265 mower and HIT 6.61 tedder.
