The Annual Knockbridge Vintage Day took place last Sunday, September 10, in Knockbridge, Co. Louth.
Kicking off in the afternoon at about 1:00pm, the day featured a range of vintage-themed attractions, including: a vintage tractor and car display; steam engines; vintage threshing; horse ploughing; a working day; and a vintage fashion show.
A host of other “enticing” events took place on the day also, such as: sheep racing; a dog show; craft activities; flower arranging; cookery demonstrations; puppet shows; an animal farm; a children’s corner; and novelty events, among other attractions.
All proceeds raised on the day are being donated to a number of worthy local charities.
There was a host of “rare and wonderful” vehicles on display on the day, including a green Zetor 25A.
As can be seen in the pictures below, some of the vintage and classic tractors and machinery were put through their paces in a “live” working demonstration.
Photographer Ray Mallon (RM Agriphotos) was there too – capturing the sights throughout the day and framing some very eye-catching photographs along the way. Here, we bring you just a selection of the many pictures taken by Ray.
