A man has died after being involved in a collision with a tractor and trailer on Station Road, Petworth.

Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision in Petworth, which occured at about 7:20p.m yesterday (Thursday, August 22).

The 28-year-old male driver of a blue Toyota RAV4 died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The tractor driver, a 32-year-old man, was uninjured.

Station Road was closed at the junction of Rotherbridge Lane and Kilsham Lane southbound yesterday and is likely to remain shut into today for collision investigation work to take place.

North Yorkshire

A tractor drove over the side of a car which contained four passengers in a collision that occured on Sunday, August 11.

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said crews from Danby and Stokesley responded to the two vehicle road traffic collision involving a tractor and car.

The tractor had driven over the side of the car which contained four passengers.

The incident, which occured near Danby, was left in the hands of ambulance staff who had taken the driver of the tractor to hospital for treatment.

All other casualties were assessed at a public house nearby whilst crews made the vehicles safe using stabilisation equipment.
