Major cross-border dairy processing co-operative Lakeland Dairies has appointed Tadhg O’Halloran head of group human resources.
He will lead the human resources function across the group supporting the successful execution of business development strategy and the achievement of organisational growth targets.
O’Halloran’s role will involve group organisational planning and the direction of human resources policy in support of executive management functions for all operating divisions and business departments across the organisation. He will also spearhead a dedicated graduate programme targeting specialist disciplines relevant to the future growth and development of Lakeland Dairies.
A highly experienced figure with extensive industry experience, he was formerly head of human resources for Element Six – De Beers and prior to this held positions including human resources director of construction group LM Developments, Johnston Press Group and the Football Association of Ireland.
O’Halloran succeeds Tommy Duffy who has retired following a lifelong career of excellent commitment and contribution to Lakeland Dairies.
Welcoming the appointment, Lakeland Dairies’ chief executive Michael Hanley said: “Tadhg has an excellent track record of leadership and experience in human resources and organisational management. Lakeland Dairies is Ireland’s second largest dairy processing co-operative. It operates across 15 counties, on a cross border basis, processing more than 700 million litres of milk annually into a wide range of high-quality dairy foodservice and food ingredient products that are exported globally.
