A leading tyre specialist in Devon which has more than 40 years’ experience has become a new distributor for Goodyear Farm Tyres.
North Devon Tyres, a family run business with 11 service depots across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, will be supplying its agricultural customers with Goodyear Farm Tyres.
North Devon Tyres previously sold Goodyear Farm Tyres products and has wasted no time renewing that relationship after the famous brand returned to the UK and European markets.
Trevor Veysey, managing director of North Devon Tyres, said:
“It’s a real thrill to see Goodyear Farm Tyres back on the market and we are delighted to be an official distributor.
We have customers across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset and there has been plenty of interest in Goodyear’s return given its reputation for supplying excellent products at competitive prices.
“Our values of offering outstanding customer service fits in well with the ethos of Goodyear Farm Tyres and, with around a third of our business being in agriculture, we see this as the start of a fruitful partnership in a key sector.”
Distribution across the UK
North Devon Tyres, which also supplies tyres for cars and commercial vehicles, strengthens Goodyear Farm Tyres’ distributor network across the UK.
The new range of Goodyear Farm Tyres complements the radial portfolio.
It includes 85, 70, 65 and XL Tractor Drive Radials, as well as specific designs for sprayers, harvesters and industrial applications.
Plans are already in place to expand the offering in 2021, including the introduction of the R14T, a hybrid of agriculture, turf and industrial tread patterns.
Lindsay Hart, European tyre sales director for Goodyear Farm Tyres, said: “North Devon Tyres has extremely strong coverage across the south-west of England and we are delighted to have them on board as an official distributor.
Despite the coronavirus crisis, we have seen the demand for our products remain strong in 2020 and we have ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond.
“Our distribution network is constantly growing across Europe and we look forward to building on those strong foundations.”
Titan International has been manufacturing Goodyear Farm Tyres in America for more than a decade and purchased the licence for the European and UK markets.
It has also made a significant investment in new plant and equipment to manufacture tyres specifically for the European market.
