It has been confirmed that D & E McHugh in Co. Longford has been appointed as a new Case IH dealer.
Based just outside Longford town, the company will now sell and service the Case IH product range in its midlands area.
The family-run business was founded by brothers Derek and Elliot; the business has over 48 years of experience of dealing with agricultural machinery.
Both Derek and Elliott still actively work in the company – which is now managed by Derek’s son Trevor – in order to ensure that a “real focus on traditional customer service is maintained”.
D & E McHugh has been described as a “natural fit” for the brand by Case IH’s sales (area) manager for Ireland, Sean Byrne.
“While the centre of their territory is ideal for our award-winning mid-range Maxxum tractors, there are many farms that would suit our larger Puma models – or smaller Farmalls,” Byrne said.
Meanwhile, commenting on the partnership announcement, Trevor McHugh said: “The decision to team up with Case IH was an easy one for us, as the brand offers a premium-quality product range with a true customer focus – the same values that our business was built on.
We are excited to be able to offer the Case IH range to new and existing customers in Longford, Leitrim, Cavan, Roscommon and Westmeath.
“Our experienced team are trained and ready to support existing Case IH customers in our area, as well as to introduce new customers to the world of Case IH,” he concluded.
