Nerys Wright has joined the National Sheep Association (NSA) as the regional manager of its eastern region.
Wright takes on the role from previous NSA eastern region manager Josh Brock, who stepped down from the role at the end of last month.
NSA eastern region includes the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Northampton and Suffolk.
The NSA said Wright joins the association with a “huge amount of knowledge and expertise” in the sheep sector, having grown up on a sheep and beef farm and working for several agricultural organisations.
Wright now works as an independent sheep consultant and, through regular attendance at NSA national and regional events over the years, comes into the role with a good understanding of the association.
She has also previously been an active member of both NSA eastern and south east regional committees.
On her appointment, Wright said: “After working in my previous job roles in industry and living in NSA eastern region for the past 11 years I am really looking forward to be working with NSA.
“I look forward to meeting many members over the next few months.”
NSA eastern region chair Robert Spinks said: “I am excited to welcome Nerys into the role of Manager and look forward to working with her to deliver for our members within the region.”
