This year’s National Youngstock Conference will focus on cattle breeding, nutrition and health, the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has said.
The event will take place from 8:45a.m until 5:00p.m on Thursday, July 18, at Sandy Park Stadium, Exeter, Devon.
This conference aims to promote best practice and facilitate the exchange of ideas relevant to all stages of youngstock rearing, AHDB said.
It will feature a series of practical seminars addressing the latest developments in cattle breeding, nutrition and health.
Now in its third year and in a new location, the National Youngstock Conference aims to provide a forum for producers, vets, researchers and other dairy and beef professionals to meet and discuss key topics.
It has been designed to cater for attendees of all levels of experience and knowledge.
AHDB senior beef & lamb analyst, Hannah Jones, will be at the event to present an update on the GB Calf Strategy.
The TB advisor for the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), Marian Coombe, will also attend to talk about the TB policy changes for testing.
Ticket numbers are limited and sold on a first-come-first-served basis, AHDB said.
