Six fire appliances were mobilised to a barn fire in Much Wenlock, Shropshire, early this morning (Friday, August 30).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire that was classified as a barn fire at 7:05a.m.
Six fire appliances including the light pumping unit and the water carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock and Telford Central.
An operations officer was in attendance.
Baler fires
A baler was fully destroyed in a farm fire at Spoonhill Farm, Much Wenlock, yesterday (Thursday, August 29).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire that was classified as an LGV fire at 6:34p.m.
Two fire appliances were mobilised from Much Wenlock and Telford. Operations and fire investigation officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing apparatus (BA);
- Hosereel jet;
- Rakes, shovels, mathooks.
Another baler was 50% involved in a fire in Upper Norton, Craven Arms, yesterday (Thursday, August 29).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting a fire that was classified as a tractor fire at 4:39p.m.
One fire appliance was mobilised from Church Stretton and Ludlow.
Crews used breathing apparatus (BA); a hosereel jet; and rakes, shovels, mathooks to tackle the fire.
