Zetor, Merlo and Komatsu distributor McHale Plant Sales of Birdhill, Tipperary, is targeting growth in all departments during the coming year. In overall terms, the company has penciled in an approximate 20 per cent across-the-board increase in unit sales for 2014.
According to an update from the company, on the farm machinery front, growth targets for Zetor and Merlo have also been set with Zetor market share predicted to move north for the third successive year with sales fuelled by the entry-level 80hp Major, an enhanced HSX version of the top-of-the-range Forterra and a reconfigured dealer network with a number of new appointments yet to come.
On the Merlo side, it says extra sales are expected to flow from the popularity of the Multifarmer and the arrival of three new, high power models expected to further increase Merlo sales momentum.
