t’s less than three weeks until the July 31 deadline for Nuffield Farming Scholarship applications. Applicants are urged to finalise their submissions to bid for this life-changing experience.

The Scholarship Trust is looking to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidates aged between 22 and 45, with a desire to broaden their horizons and make a real difference to the future of UK agriculture.

Scholars receive a bursary of £7,000 to cover at least eight weeks of global travel, as well as a raft of other benefits including training and a place at the international Contemporary Scholars Conference.

Nuffield Farming director, Mike Vacher explained he has already seen a high level of applications and is looking forward to receiving more.

Eligibility

Applicants must work within the farming, food, horticulture, rural and associated industries or are in a position to influence these industries.

Applicants must be aged between 22 and 45 years – the upper age limit is 45 on July 31 in the year of application.

There is no requirement for academic qualifications, but applicants will already be well established in their career and demonstrate a passion for the industry they work in and be three years post-tertiary education.

Candidates must be resident in the UK and hold a UK passport or be working directly for UK agriculture.
