The British Veterinary Association has today announced an expert panel of judges for its BVA Young Vet of the Year Award 2020, supported by Zoetis.

The accolade is aimed at vets at an early stage in their careers who are making a big difference in their field or community.

Judges for the 2020 competition include:

The award aims to highlight the outstanding difference young vets make to the profession. It is open to all vets registered with the RCVS and in the first eight years of their career. The winner of this year’s award will receive a prize of £1,000 cash as well as a career-enhancing experience with Zoetis.

The 2019 competition was won by dedicated farm vet Emily Craven (pictured top), who supported her local practice at a time of need and who has shown a passion for her work around lameness and mobility in cattle.

Entries for this year’s award close on September 7, 2020, with the winner set to be announced on November 12.
