The first speakers of Meat Business Women’s 2022 UK and Ireland conference have been announced, with more to come in the coming months.
Karen O’Conner, head of MFP at Sainsburys and Tina Dekker, chief legal council and chair of MacDonald’s global women’s network will be keynote speakers at the conference, taking place in London on May 18, 2022.
Minette Batters, National Farmers’ Union (NFU) president and Carol Glover, a coaching expert who works with senior and emerging leaders will also be speaking at the event.
In a recent survey, Meat Business Women members said ‘adapting to changes within the sector’ was a top priority and thus, the theme of the 2022 conference is ‘The Challenge of Change’. Speakers will centre their sessions around topics relative to this, i.e. the reality of change for the meat sector (Batters).
These sessions will be streamed online, allowing delegates who are not able to attend in person to take part and listen.
Laura Ryan, chair and founder of Meat Business Women said there is ‘no better way to learn from the best’.
The Meat Business Women conference brings together women from all parts of the meat industry to share the business and soft skills they need to build successful careers. And there is no better way than to learn from the best.
“We’re immensely proud and grateful to have the support of high-profile leaders who have agreed to share their own lessons on business and personal transformation with our community.”
