A fiery festival is taking place this weekend at Crosshaven, County Cork. The town is to host the 4th annual Irish Redhead Convention in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
Previously a one-day event, this year the convention is running over three days, where redheads can participate in a variety of events to celebrate the world’s rarest hair colour.
Events include a visit to see the endangered Red Pandas at Fota Wildlife Park, a parade of redheads, best dressed redhead and a carrot tossing championship. A shuttle bus service will operate between 10am and 5pm to transport visitors to events in Crosshaven.
Those without red hair can also get involved with hair dyeing available in the village for €5, which will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society. For more information on the event or to book online for reduced ticket prices go here.
