Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner is set to attend next week’s National Sheep Association (NSA) Sheep Event.
The event will take place at the Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire, on Tuesday, July 30.
It will feature seminars, workshops, demonstrations, competitions and more than 250 sheep and wider agricultural breed societies and trade stands.
The NSA Breakfast Club featuring new Farming Minister Zeichner will open proceedings at the event at 9:00a.m.
NSA chief executive, Phil Stocker, said the NSA will not “shy away” from ensuring the issues affecting the sheep sector are top of the list of discussion topics.
“I’d encourage anyone with an interest in the future of the sector to join us in this session to ask their questions, whether that be on future farming policy, external threats to the industry, or simply to get up to date with the latest industry developments,” Stocker said.

Stocker said: “The countdown is almost over to NSA Sheep Event 2024.
“As always, the day will provide a fantastic opportunity for sheep farmers to come together for a useful day away from the farm, meeting with industry experts as well as farming friends at an enjoyable day out.”
The NSA said it is pleased to welcome several familiar faces from farming social media to the NSA Sheep Event 2024.
With the event taking place during the school summer holidays further attractions this year will ensure the whole family can enjoy a great day out, the trade association for UK sheep farmers said.
Children’s competitions, mini tractor school, sheepdog displays, cookery demonstrations and more aim help to keep everyone in the family entertained.
