Major farmer-owned co-operative Fane Valley Group has appointed a new health and safety manager.
Hannah Chapman will join the major food producer off the back of JMW Farms – a family-run pig production company based in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
In her previous role, she was responsible for the health, safety and environmental dealings across multiple sites located in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain.
The new management role will assume overall responsibility for the direction and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy across all Fane Valley agri-businesses.
The Portadown native will spend the coming weeks visiting company locations and engaging with management and staff.

Keen interest in farming
Coming from a farming background, Chapman is no stranger to the life on the farm and has a keen interest in farming activities.
The Co. Armagh show is a key date for the new Health and Safety manager. She holds a key position within the shows organising committee and coordinates all of the health and safety aspects.
In addition, Chapman continues to play an active role as a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and the Northern Ireland Safety Council
