Entries are now open for the 2022 Royal Dairy Innovation Award, which recognises research and development in the field of dairy farming and will be given to the most practical, relevant product or service which shows the most significant innovation for the future or dairying from a company exhibiting at Dairy-Tech.
Applications must be submitted to the Royal Association Of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) by December 10, 2021, after which they will be judged and a shortlist of three finalists selected.
Entries must include a written description, supporting literature and online demonstrations, where possible.
The shortlisted finalists will give a presentation at Dairy-Tech 2022 on February 2, 2022, at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The winner will then be announced at the end of the Innovation Hub programme, shortly before 4:00p.m at Dairy-Tech 2022.
Each of the finalists will receive a Finalist Certificate to display on their stand at the show and representatives from the winning company will be invited to Buckingham Palace in April 2022 to receive a signed, framed certificate and trophy from her Royal Highness Princess Anne.
The winner will also receive a 10% discount (maximum £300) on their stand booking for Dairy-Tech 2023.
Lyndsay Chapman, chief executive of the Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock (CIEL) – the event sponsors – commenting on the award said:
“CIEL provides a front door for the dairy sector looking for science-based solutions. The UK dairy sector has a great track record of innovation and we’re pleased to be supporting future dairy innovators in collaboration with the RABDF.”
