Fire services in Durham are appealing for information after attending a farm fire that they believed to have been started deliberately.
Crews from Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland were alerted to the fire on a farm near Staindrop on Friday, October 15, at 7:15p.m.
The on-call firefighters attended to a wooden barn that was alight. The barn had roughly 70 bales inside.
Taking to Facebook over the weekend, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service appealed for information about the fire:
“The cause of this fire is thought to have been started deliberately, if you have any information relating to this incident please call FireStoppers anonymously.”
