The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has appointed three board members to the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).
Ministers have reappointed Mike Sheldon as an AHDB board member and the pork sector’s council chair for 12 months, with effect from April 10, 2023.
He will receive a non-pensionable remuneration of £23,616 per annum, based on a minimum time commitment of 72 days/year.
Tom Clarke has been appointed as board member of AHDB with extended responsibility as cereals and oilseeds sector council chair for three years, which took effect from April 1, 2023.
He will receive a non-pensionable remuneration of £23,616 per annum, based on a minimum time commitment of 72 days/year.
Sarah Pumfrett has also been reappointed as a board member and chair of the AHDB audit and risk assurance committee (ARAC) for three years, which took effect from April 1, 2023.
She will receive a non-pensionable remuneration of £11,808 per annum, based on a minimum time commitment of 36 days/year.
The appointments of the board members are made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments published by the Cabinet Office.
