A major ‘on-site‘ machinery dispersal sale (auction) was held on behalf of Coates Contracting at Manor Farm, Kings Lynn, Norfolk (England) recently – on Wednesday, December 6.
The auction comprised of tractors, a telescopic loader and a whole brace of machinery – including a significant haul of root-crop equipment.
There was a nice line-up of modern tractors (below) – from the Case IH and JCB stables.
Notably, there was also an unusual line-up of old, rusted MB Trac tractors (below). These are becoming increasingly scarce, but are quite collectible. The examples at this auction certainly needed plenty of cosmetic attention and could best be described as ‘tired’.
On-site dispersal sales and auctions are a regular occurrence in the UK – thanks to the availability of a large pool of equipment. They come up just a handful of times in any given year here in Ireland.
This report covers the tractors and the lone telescopic handler – a JCB – offered at the sale. Look out for a follow-up article, detailing how the machinery (including a healthy selection of trailers and root-crop equipment) fared on the day.
The sale was conducted by Cheffins – a company that is best known in tractor circles for its monthly Cambridge Machinery Sales events.
