Claas has launched a new generation of front loaders which, it claims, significantly improves comfort and performance through extra features in models, which replaces the previous FL C series.
The six new loaders, from FL 40 C to FL 140, cover lift capacities from 940kg to 2,490kg (measured 80cm in front of the bucket pivot point), and a breakaway force from 1,820 to 3,120kg.
Maximum lift heights at the bucket pivot point range from 3.50m to 4.50m.
The latest loaders feature a new three-section design, which complements the design of the Claas tractors and is suitable for use with the Axos and Arion tractor ranges.
The double-angled boom shifts the pivot point mechanism of the parallelogram downwards by more than 20cm.
This is said to give the operator an even better view of the frame and attachment – an improvement which is further enhanced by the lowering of the front crossbeam by 10cm.
The new design is said to be robust and features the manufacturing quality that is the hallmark of Claas equipment and machinery.
Claas claims comfort features retained
The Fitlock coupling system, which is carried over from the FL and FL C front, retains the fully automatic and entirely mechanical locking system.
The Mach multi-coupling system hooks up all the hydraulic and electrical lines through one coupling without the need for any additional plugs or sockets.
All hydraulic hoses are integrated into the frame for protection.
As an optional extra, the hydraulic Fastlock system allows attachments to be locked at the press of a button from the driver’s seat, in addition to automatic mechanical locking.
Third and fourth functions can be connected via the Mach 2 multi-coupler, which features leak-free, flat-seal couplings.
A pressure relief function for the third function is available on request, and will prove a valuable feature in many instances.
An automatic bucket return function is also available; this automatically returns the bucket to the horizontal loading position, aiding efficiency with faster loading cycles.
Optional LED work lights help to illuminate the loading area during the long winter nights.
