A cattle truck with live animals overturned earlier this morning on the N11.
According to reports there was up to 60 live cattle on board.
The truck overturned near Scratnagh Cross, Co. Wicklow and the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital.
The cattle were brought to a nearby field by emergency personnel who worked together to contain the animals.
AA Roadwatch reported that there were “diversions in place” earlier today, and delays are still ongounbg,
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
A local vet attended the accident and he said that “one animal was euthanised due to injury all the other cattle were got out alive with no injuries”.
