The November EU weighted average milk price stood at €30.78/100kg (22.40p/L), up €0.24/100kg (0.8%) on the previous month, according to AHDB Dairy.
In pence per litre, the price was down on October by 0.64p/L (2.8%), it found.
Compared with 2014, AHDB Dairy said that the weighted average EU price for November was down €3.65/100kg (10.6%), this was a decrease on the year of 5.61p/L.
The average UK farmgate price in November stood at €34.24/100kg (24.92p/L), which according to AHDB, was the fourth highest price of any nation in the EU15 after Greece, Finland and Austria.
The EU15 weighted average price stood at €31.38/100kg (22.84p/L) in November, €0.24/100kg (0.8%) up on October, and was €3.74/100kg (10.6%) lower than the November 2014 average, it found.
Looking at the top-five milk producing countries for this month (Germany, France, UK, Netherlands and Poland), the average November price was €30.45/100kg which was a €0.37/100kg (1.2%) increase compared with the previous month.
