Farmers were actively buying at Hennessy Auctioneers’ monthly machinery auction on Saturday (November 18) at Portlaoise Mart.
There was reportedly a “good trade” for clean equipment. According to John Hennessy, there was a “great attendance” of buyers, with over 300 registered bidders from around the country in attendance.
An 86% clearance of the 635 lots was achieved on the day.
The sale topper was a clean, 2008 New Holland T6010 with almost 3,500 hours on the clock; it exceeded its reserve price and sold for €26,000. The item which attracted the most interest on the day was a local (off-farm condition) 1990 Massey Ferguson 390 (2WD); it sold for €8,650.
Below is a sample of the results from the sale.
There is no VAT on these hammer (sale) prices, unless otherwise stated.
All (hammer) prices are subject to a ‘buyer’s premium’ of 5%, up to a maximum fee of €500 per item.
