AgriLand came upon this footage (see video below) of an Irish-built triple-section combination mower. The video is from TOL Engineering – a company based in Ballinasig, Dingle, Co. Kerry.
The company describes itself as “providing steel, stainless steel, hydraulic, electrical and aluminium engineering solutions to the commercial, industrial, agricultural, marine and retail sectors”.
It routinely undertakes the “design and production of custom-built products”.
At this stage, we don’t have detailed specifications; the video depicts the machine (which is equipped with groupers/swathers) being put through its paces aloft a John Deere 6R Series tractor – in a reasonably heavy crop of silage.
Below (see gallery) is a selection of shots showing the contractor-sized mower from several different angles.
It’s not the company’s first foray into agricultural machinery. TOL Engineering has also built slurry (vacuum) tankers. Below (see gallery) is a selection of pictures showing a TOL Engineering (recessed) tanker – again from a variety of angles.
Yet another product is TOL Engineering’s umbilical system – again for the slurry spreading fraternity. Below (see gallery) is a selection of images showing the pump and reeler.
The company is also known for its soil aerator implement; it’s a roller-type machine that’s home to “heavy-duty” bearings and 9in Hardox teeth. It comes in 2.5m or 3m working widths.
