The UK’s largest milk and grocery doorstep delivery service, Milk & More, has launched a new recruitment drive as new customers rush to sign up to the service during the Covid-19 lockdown.
This follows an unprecedented number of new customers signing up to the service in the last few days, as more and more people want to have fresh milk and local and fresh groceries delivered to their doorstep.
green”]Milk & More has signed up a record 25,000 new customers in the past week and as a result, is looking for 100 additional milkmen or women who have a full UK driving licence and are happy to work nights. They will join the firm’s 1,000 milkmen and women who deliver more than 100 million one-pint glass bottles of milk a year, using modern electric vehicles.
The company, which has vacancies spanning England, is looking for potential new recruits to play an important role in delivering essential food and household items, including eggs, bread, cheese, organic fruit and vegetables, as well as milk in reusable glass bottles.
Milk & More chief executive Patrick Muller said: “We have been at the heart of the communities in which we serve for decades, but potentially we have never had such an important role as we do now in this current health crisis.
Our customers are our number one priority, and they’re relying on us delivering to them more now than ever before, which is why it is absolutely crucial that we look to increase our workforce.
“We would encourage anyone who finds themselves currently out of work, whether temporarily or permanently, and who is keen to work with a team who is passionate about serving the needs of their local community, to get in touch and join the Milk & More family.”
