A man has died in a farm accident in Northern Ireland after the tractor he was working with overturned.
It is believed the farm accident happened on the Aghadulla Road outside Dromore at about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
The farm accident occurred on a farm in the Omagh area on December 9, the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland has said.
It is now investigating the incident, a spokesperson said.
“Our thoughts are with the family at this most difficult time. We have no further comment to make at this stage of our investigation,” the spokesperson said.
This latest death brings to five the number of people killed in farm accidents in Northern Ireland this year.
This is the third accident this year in the North involving machinery.
Earlier this year a farmer dies after a tractor rolled backwards on him while the other victim was killed when his quad bike overturned.
Research from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) shows that farm machinery and animals are two of the most likely causes of farm deaths in Ireland.
It has also found that age is a serious consideration when farm accidents and fatalities occur with young children and the elderly most vulnerable.
