Holden Agri and Fuels will host an open day on December 9 from 10.30am in Artigarvan. This well-known and highly respected family owned agribusiness is the new DeLaval dealer for Donegal, Derry and Tyrone.
On the day, DeLaval specialists will be on hand to give technical advice on milking equipment, the award winning VMS system and dairy hygiene products.
Holden Agri & Fuels is the largest distributor of agrochemicals in the Northwest and employ a team of 18.
Alan Holden is a qualified agronomist and has been in farming since 1976. He worked in agri contracting and milked cows for a number of years. The family also operates a poultry farm. Alan established the business in 1986 and his sons Stephen and Christopher are now involved in the family enterprise.
The product range now includes animal health products, farm equipment, fertilisers, hardware, equestrian products, fuel, pet and poultry supplies.
“We have a proven track record for doing a job to the highest possible standard. We see the DeLaval franchise as another positive development in expanding our range of quality equipment and as an integral part of our plans for the future,” Alan Holden says.
The Northwest, he said, is one of the best areas for dairy farming and this is an opportunity to support milk producers, many of whom already deal with us.
