Dyfed-Powys Police’s rural crime team has said that it is dealing with “yet another dog attack on livestock” in a social media post.
The team took to Twitter yesterday (Monday, April 3) to share images of the attack, which took place in the Llandrindod Wells area, and to warn dog owners of the potential their dogs have to attack sheep.
A spokesperson for the team said, no matter how safe an owner thinks their dog is around livestock, sheep will be scared by them.

Canine DNA
The rural crime team shared that it is having initial training to assist a Canine DNA research project looking at livestock worrying.
The team is working alongside North Wales Police and John Moore’s University on the project.
The project is focussed on identifying the best methods to take DNA from sheep which have been attacked by dogs, the team said.
Stolen ATVs
The Dyfed-Powys rural crime team also recently reported the thefts of two Honda 420 quads.
The team said they were stolen from between Sunday, March 26, and Monday, March 27, 2023, from a farmyard building.
The farm is located just off the B4594 at Newchurch, Powys, near to the Kington, Herefordshire borders.
The team appealed for anyone with any information regarding the thefts to contact it.
