The DLG (the German Agricultural Society), organisers of the world’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition – Agritechnica – has launched a new event for UK farmers as they go digitally ‘on tour’.
Using the latest virtual technology, the DLG will host an interactive showcase and live panel discussion among industry leaders, on November 30 at 4:00p.m.
Picking up the overall ‘Green Efficiency’ theme of the forthcoming Agritechnica 2022 event, the digital event is aimed at growing awareness and engagement with British farmers and growers.
International knowledge in agriculture
“The aim of the DLG is to promote innovation in agriculture, agribusiness and the food sector by transferring knowledge in order to further farming practices around the globe,” said Tobias Eichberg, managing director of DLG’s Exhibitions Department.
Working with UK agricultural associations and organisations who are promoting the event to their own members, the DLG’s charter has always been to support agriculture internationally.
“Digital events, like this, allow us to reach out and, through collaboration, share international insights and understanding with British farmers“ added Eichberg.
Practical farming experts present
The Agritechnica On Tour lineup includes National Farmers Union (NFU) Vice President, Tom Bradshaw, leading agritech scientist and connector Dr. Belinda Clarke and engineering head, Parmjit Chima of Harper Adams University.
