Police are appealing for witnesses regarding 26 ewes that were stolen from a field in Devon sometime between Wednesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 27.
In a message on Devon and Cornwall Alert – a two-way community messaging system operated by Devon and Cornwall Police – Linzi Berryman, Devon and Cornwall police alert officer said:
“We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information in connection with a report of theft of sheep.”
The missing sheep are Highlander ewes and the field in question is located in the area of Brayford, Barnstaple.
According to officer Berryman, they were fully fleeced, uniquely tagged and marked with black spray marker in various ways.
