ABP Food Group, one of Europe’s leading privately owned agri-business companies, has taken its biggest stand ever at the world’s largest food trade fair in Anuga, which is running in Cologne, Germany from 5-9 October.
ABP’s 255 sq m stand will showcase ABP’s full range of beef and lamb products from across the company’s manufacturing facilities in Ireland, UK and Poland. ABP will be promoting more than 11 different brands, including our award winning Irish Hereford Prime and Scotch Prime lines of premium beef products.
The stand includes a full service restaurant where visitors can enjoy a range of dishes made from ABP products including a Carpaccio of Prime Organic Beef or a Roast Striploin Sandwich, all cooked to perfection by our team of professional chefs.
The company is also launching its new English lamb range – Dorset Crown – a seven-day matured premium grass fed product. ABP Lamb processes more than one million lambs each year from two sites: Yetminster in Dorset and Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
Commenting on ABP’s participation at ANUGA, chief executive Paul Finnerty said: “Anuga is a great opportunity for us to promote the quality beef and lamb products we produce to potential new customers, and to renew existing relationships. It’s an important platform for UK and Irish food businesses to promote the best of the industry on the global stage.
“I am pleased to attend this event knowing despite a challenging year we have retained the support and confidence of our customers and suppliers, and are on track to grow the business in this financial year.”
ABP is Ireland and the UK’s largest beef processor and has a reputation for providing customers with award-winning beef, including the recent success of its products in 17 categories at the Great Taste 2013 Awards and three medals at last weekend’s Blas Na hEireann, National Irish Food Awards. ABP employs 8,000 people at 40 facilities around the world and is a major exporter of beef throughout Europe.
