The 2013 Flavours of Fingal County Show is taking place this weekend at Newbridge House and Farm, Donabate, North County Dublin.
Jam-packed with a wide range of activities for the family including doggie shows, livestock competitions, arts and crafts activities, cooking exhibitions and cake bake-offs; the value for money show is the ideal way to embrace the outdoors this Autumn.
The Flavours of Fingal County Show will again play host to Ireland’s most groomed cows as Ireland’s farmers congregate in the farm area to compete in highly contested livestock competition. Fans of the movie “Babe” are in for a treat with sheepdog trial demos and an equestrian fair. Visitors to the show will also have an opportunity to spot colour co-ordinating sheep as they compete to nab a Flavours of Fingal County Show rosette.
Speaking at the launch of the Flavours of Fingal County Show, Peter Counihan of Fingal Farmers said: “Following on from last year’s success, this year is going to be bigger and better with a bustling live music stage, livestock competitions, hugely popular dog agility trials, and mouth-watering food from Fingal food producers. Just twenty minutes from Dublin, we look forward to welcoming visitors to Donabate for a weekend of fine food and family festivities.”
